The backbone every smart building runs on.

ICT Infrastructure & Data Networks

Every system in a modern building — CCTV, access control, alarms, Wi-Fi, voice — depends on the network beneath it. SafeLine designs and installs structured ICT infrastructure to international standards: copper and fibre cabling, network switching, racks and data rooms that are tested, certified and built to carry tomorrow's load, not just today's.

Why it matters

Engineered for outcomes, not just installed

Every ict & data networks project is designed around the risk and obligations of your building — and delivered to prove it.

Standards we engineer to

  • ISO/IEC 11801 — Structured cabling
  • TIA-568 / TIA-942 — Cabling & data-centre design
  • Manufacturer-certified 25-year warranties

Future-proof bandwidth

We specify cabling and fibre that carry today's traffic with headroom for the next decade — so you don't recable when you grow.

Certified & documented

Every link is tested to standard and certified, with labelled as-built records — making faults fast to find and audits painless.

One reliable backbone

A properly engineered network carries CCTV, access, alarms, Wi-Fi and voice on one resilient infrastructure, simplifying support.

Built for uptime

Redundant paths, proper containment and tidy data rooms reduce downtime and make maintenance safe and simple.

The infrastructure everything else depends on

A smart building is only as reliable as the network under it. SafeLine engineers structured cabling and fibre backbones to international standards, sized for the systems you run today and the ones you'll add tomorrow. Cat6A copper to the desk, fibre between floors and buildings, all tidily contained and labelled.

Certified, tested, documented

We don't just pull cable — we certify it. Every link is tested with calibrated equipment and documented, and you receive labelled as-built drawings and test results. When something needs attention years later, the records make it fast to trace, not a guessing game.

One backbone for every system

CCTV, access control, fire alarm signalling, Wi-Fi, voice — modern buildings run them all over IP. SafeLine designs the network as the unifying backbone for your low-current systems, with the resilience, segmentation and capacity to keep them all running reliably.

FAQ

ICT & Data Networks — your questions answered

Straight answers to what owners, facility managers and contractors ask us most.

What is a low current system?

A low current (or extra-low-voltage) system is any building system that runs on low voltage rather than mains power — typically data, signal or control wiring. It covers structured cabling and networks, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, public address, and similar systems. SafeLine designs and integrates these low current systems so a building's technology works as one coordinated infrastructure.

What is structured cabling?

Structured cabling is a standardised, organised cabling system that provides a single infrastructure for all of a building's data and communication needs. Instead of separate ad-hoc wiring for each device, structured cabling uses a planned hierarchy of copper and fibre, patch panels and outlets — making the network reliable, easy to manage and simple to expand.

What is the difference between Cat6 and Cat6A cabling?

Both are twisted-pair copper standards. Cat6 supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet over short distances, while Cat6A supports 10 Gigabit over the full 100-metre channel and offers better noise resistance. For new commercial installations and anywhere you want long-term headroom, SafeLine generally recommends Cat6A, with fibre for backbones.

Why does ICT infrastructure matter for security systems?

Modern CCTV, access control and alarm systems are IP-based — they run on the data network. If the cabling and network are poorly designed, those security systems suffer dropouts, slow response and failures. A properly engineered, certified ICT backbone is the foundation that makes every connected security and building system reliable.
