The challenge
What made this project demanding
A water utility runs facilities that the public depends on continuously. Protection has to cover control rooms and infrastructure where an outage has consequences well beyond the building, and the work has to proceed without interrupting operations.

Critical infrastructure has a lower tolerance for downtime
For a utility, an incident in a control room is not only a building problem. Detection was designed for early warning in the areas where an outage propagates outward to the public.
Installed around continuous operation
Facilities of this kind do not close. Work was sequenced and scheduled so that installation, testing and commissioning happened without taking operations offline.
A documented low-current backbone
Structured cabling was installed and certified to standard, giving the utility a known, documented infrastructure for its operational systems rather than accumulated ad-hoc runs.
Surveillance across operational areas
CCTV covers operational and perimeter areas, supporting both site security and operational oversight of facilities that are not continuously staffed.
Outcome
