Do I need sprinklers or a gas suppression system?

It depends on what you're protecting. Sprinklers are the proven, economical choice for most occupied spaces and storage. Gas (clean-agent) suppression is used where water would be destructive — data centres, electrical rooms, control rooms. Many buildings use both, zoned by risk. SafeLine assesses your facility and designs the appropriate mix.

Does my building in Jordan need a sprinkler system?

It depends on the building's height, area, occupancy and fire load. The Jordan Civil Defense Directorate sets the requirement, and it is usually triggered by floor area, storey count or the nature of what is stored or manufactured. SafeLine carries out the assessment and tells you what is required before you commit to a design.

What is the difference between a wet and a dry sprinkler system?

A wet system holds water in the pipework at all times and is the standard choice for heated buildings. A dry system holds pressurised air instead, releasing water only when a sprinkler operates — used where pipework could freeze or where accidental discharge would be costly. Pre-action systems add a second trigger for extra protection in sensitive areas.

How often does a fire fighting system need to be tested?

Fire pumps should be run and recorded weekly, with a full flow test annually. Sprinkler systems, hydrants and hose reels require scheduled inspection and testing to stay compliant and insurable.
